He has been a resident of the Morristown area for over 33 years and has been building in this area since 1965. He started Peterson Construction in 2004. Peterson Construction boasts of beautiful condominiums with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.Mr. Peterson is a licensed general contractor in residential, commercial and industrial building. He has a B.S. degree from Carson-Newman College and a M.S. degree from the Tennessee Technological University. Since the start of Peterson Construction, he has built seven condo/duplex units in Lochmere Subdivision. His plans are to continue building in Lochmere in the near future. Mr. Peterson is a well rounded, family man who has been married for over 36 years to his wife Carol, a Hamblen County school teacher who recently retired after 35 years of teaching. Mr. Peterson's son, Dan, is the headmaster of Cornerstone Academy here in Morristown and resides in one of the condos Mr. Peterson built in Lochmere. For over 33 years, Mr. Peterson was employed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as a Fisheries Biologist. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and motorcycling. But of all this, he most enjoys spending time with his family and two grandchildren. To this date he has 20+ years experience building custom, quality homes. His experience in the past includes 24 homes in Lochmere Subdivision in which he personally built or oversaw and 3 prestigious homes in Baneberry Country Club. Presently R and T Development has 2 custom homes underway in Jefferson County and one in Bean Station. Along with the custom homes he constructs, Mr. Young has also endeavored to develop 10 townhouse units in Morristown near the airport. These town homes are nearing completion and are currently listed with the Weaver’s for sale. In the future R and T Development is schedule to start 35 new townhouse units in the Buffalo Trail area and 19 units on the west end of Morristown. Mr. Young and his workers take pride in the quality of their workmanship on all their construction endeavors. Mr. Young is a native of Jefferson County, he has resided in Morristown for roughly 14 years.
